英國流行樂巨星喬治麥可指出，英國的一項賦予同性伴侶合法權益的法律在下個月生效後，他計畫和交往已久的情侶肯尼高斯「結婚」。
前合唱團「Wham !」主唱之一的喬治麥可表示，他和交往十年之久的情人，希望明年在英國舉行一項所謂「同性關係」儀式。
喬治麥可說：「我確定肯尼和我將會進行這項舊有的法律儀式，但不會有穿戴婚紗和禮服等這類事情。」

現年四十一歲的喬治麥可說：「法律生效後，婚禮很快就會舉行，可能在明年初。」
根據二零零四年公佈的「同性關係法」，同性婚姻將在今年十二月二十一日生效，使得十六歲以上的同性伴侶能擁有合法婚姻關係。
